Love should be Penalized !!
Since the inception of mankind, love has been the roots of all kinds of emotions. How can love not be a crime? Look at the examples that we have grown up with. Romeo and Juliet, Radha-Krishna, Laila Majnu, Devdas and Parvati, Rick Blaine and Ilsa Lund, Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan.
Love is sinful. It is a lifetime imprisonment of broken promises and unfulfilled aching. Love churns the soul inside out and it wears out the hope and craving of fulfillment. Falling in love is excruciatingly simple. But nobody warns us what happens after that. How do you go through with the drama and continue basking in it till forever comes? Maybe it’s supposed to hurt so much and shatter every iota of resilience withering away with dignified glory in you.
It is each of the cardinal sin that has been known to us. Your body craves the lust enclosed in the body of your dearest. Gluttony seeps through the eyes of the lover demanding to drown in the ocean of his beloved’s soul. Every minute that you spend wrapped in their thoughts only makes you greedy for more. Sloth becomes your most sought after temptation. Every lover, no matter how docile and fragile has revealed their wrath in the most explicit form. The pang of envy fills your heart with every passing moment of being apart. And you wear the pride of being in love on your sleeve because you cherish it.
Maybe we should have been born with the inability of being able to love. Life would have been so much more fixed. Most of us wouldn’t have been broken. No heart aches, no tears, no drama. Most of the songs wouldn’t have been made. Art wouldn’t be as over rated due to lack of inspiration. Alcohol prices would stoop to the lowest. Yashraj Films would have bombed terribly. We would live in a society where the only thing we would want attached, is a bathroom.
So maybe they are right, you know. We should be penalized for love. At least someone, somehow, somewhere will refrain from it and know that love is a crime. Love is a sin. But it is also the only selfish emotion that mankind is left with. Perhaps under the disguise of section 377 for the LGBT, they are trying to protect the cloaked monster brooding within us.
But here’s the thing. Love is the gravest kind of crime that you can commit. Only in this case, the guilty and the abused remain you. Nevertheless, as for myself, I don’t know what’s worse, drowning in the waves of love or dying in its sheer thirst. So punish me, anyway.
Wow.. I believe in what you said!!
ReplyDeleteLove is like a field of Roses
At first You melt in the beauty of it
And than You only feel the thorns
At least once Evry1 should walk on that field to see what they collect most- Thorns Or Beautiful Red petals!!
